VP, Energy & Sustainability
I joined QTS in 2014, and am the Vice President of Energy and Sustainability where I manage utility procurement and energy efficiency programs. I also sit on the development team where I negotiate new-site infrastructure agreements and tax incentives, and foster government relations.
Prior to this position I ws Site Director leading operations at the new QTS Mega facility in Irving, TX. In my first year with QTS, I hired and developed the entire operations team, created the operational structure, and led the site from a bare shell to one of the largest and most impressive data centers in Texas. Today, I direct both the Irving, TX site and now our brand new Fort Worth Mega Facility.
I bring 18 years of Critical Facility management experience from the semiconductor industry, as well as 24 years of energy efficiency and management experience.
Prior to joining QTS, I was with Western Digital, where I held the position of Facility Director for the Phoenix, AZ plant, and executive program manager at the Fremont, California plant.
Formerly, as the Director of Facilities at the European semiconductor giant STMicroelectronics, I managed a team of 43 managers, engineers, and technicians to best-in-class performance in safety, energy efficiency, and uptime. During my tenure I led the team to receive ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and EMAS certifications for safety and environmental excellence, developed an expansive predictive maintenance program that nearly eliminated unscheduled downtime, and built a global energy benchmarking system that saved more than 70 GWH per year.
I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University and I am a Six Sigma green belt as well as a Certified Energy Manager. Since moving to Dallas 3 years ago, I have been named by D Magazine as one of the most influential business leaders in North Texas three times.
