About This Conference
We're bringing together leaders from the world of energy networks and from the digital infrastructure ecosystem in one of the world's most energy aware cities for a very big discussion on the future.
The Energy Smart Summit is part of a global series that brings together data center operators and energy providers to discuss how together they can leverage advanced and integrated tech to become “energy smart”. Advancements in software-defined, open source, AI, and highly efficient UPS technologies, to smart grid integration and green power resource, are accelerating the industry towards smart everything, linking the silicon chip all the way to the power station.
With exponential demand driven by IoT, Smart Cities and Big Data applications, there is a growing need to efficiently power more localised, more agile and much more scalable IT infrastructure. How will the disaggregated data center feed off the energy networks of the future? Will edge strategies be defined by energy grids? What are the latest advancements in software-defined power and cooling innovations and how can we secure our critical infrastructure in the age of IoT?
DCD>Energy Smart highlights fuel cells in the data center
Stockholm event on 13 March will hear how NREL improved data center efficiency with hydrogen fuel cells. Could they replace the grid?

Stockholm event to focus on EU data center energy challenges
DCD and Stockholm Data Parks team up to host the global DCD>Energy Smart event series in Stockholm bringing together energy utilities with the data center sector.
Do we curb demand or feed it?
Data centers’ insatiable demand for power may actually be just what the utility grids need – and the thing that has to change is not the infrastructure but the people
Driving collaboration between utilities and data-centers from source to sub-station, this track focuses on energy smart infrastructure. It explores advances in Demand Response technology, energy storage and microgrids, to reduce pressure on the transmission networks and ensure reliable and cost-effective power for data-centers.
Covering energy optimisation inside the data center- from sub-station to server. This theme will explore cutting edge innovations and practices used to create the most energy efficient critical environments. From software defined power to innovative cooling, drive efficiency and sustainability by joining these sessions.
