Global Director, Critical Engineering & Data Centers
Herb Tracy joined BlackRock as the Global Head of Critical Engineering in 2008. He is responsible for ensuring the performance, readiness, reliability, and integrity of the critical infrastructure systems throughout the global BlackRock portfolio.
Prior to assuming his current role at BlackRock, Herb held various positions in the Critical Infrastructure and Power Generation fields. At Elemco Electrical Testing he was 3rd Party Certified as a UPS and HVAC Design Professional. Responsibilities included the design and installation of various Data Center Projects in the New York Metropolitan Area. In addition, Herb managed the Alternative Energy and Instrumentation and Control Divisions as well as serving as the Director of Business Development.
Herb is an active member of the Association of Facilities Engineers Chapter 4 and the 7X24 Exchange. He held the position of Chairman of the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program Participants Association (VPPPA) in Region II from 2000 to 2003. In addition, he was a board member and the former co-chair of the Technology Committee for the Contingency Planning Exchange (CPE) Long Island Chapter.
