Brandon Butterworth is Chief Scientist, BBC, responsible for the BBCs technology research and development programme. Previously he put the BBC on the Internet, designing and building the international network, serving infrastructure and operations team, plus a few datacentres. Other projects include BBCRedux which lead to iPlayer as a streaming and multi device (Flash, iPhone/3g, PS3/Wii, STB later to become Youview) service. Now pushing all of broadcast towards IP from camera to viewer as well as building a 26k sq ft DC in a Scottish cold war bunker for fun.
