Inderjith graduated with an MBA from India. In 1986, he left for the US and graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, with an MS in Healthcare Administration and was conferred an award for Outstanding Academic Excellence.
He started his career in healthcare at the New England Medical Center in Boston. As MIS Director of a private healthcare firm that managed 14 hospitals spread over four states in New England, he created his concept of a Data Dashboard. It was an innovative approach in 1993. During this phase, he worked on the Patient Privacy and Electronic Records Committee for the states of Massachusetts and Georgia that gave birth to the widely known Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.
In 2008 he became the CEO of an EMR software company in India. He then moved on to become the Group CIO of Global Hospitals Group with hospitals in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Bombay. During that stint, he planned and executed an integrated IT solution for a greenfield project in Mumbai laying out a detailed plan for integrating the group’s information.
In 2012, he accepted the role of VP, Administration and CIO at Continental Hospitals driving a paperless EMR solution among other innovative technologies. Inderjith returned to the US in 2014 accepting the role of a Consultant CIO at a multi-site behavioral care facility to help implement an EHR solution for the first time in the organization’s 12 year history. He is currently leading IT transformation as Group CIO at KIMS Hospitals group in Hyderabad.
