Richard founded CloudOrigin in 2009 to focus on the business impact of cloud computing in public and private sectors, as an independent, pragmatic source of strategy and advisory services. Currently working with blue-chip brands around the world, venture capital, private equity and IT firms. In 2014 CloudOrigin advised on deals worth over $7Billion in potential enterprise value spanning datacentres and cloud infrastructure providers through to high growth software as a service firms and new online startups.
He is an invited speaker on cloud computing for the Bloomberg Enterprise Technology forums, a lead judge for the Broad Group DataCloud awards, named to the global ‘Cloud 100’ list by the Cloud World series, classed as a ‘Leading Advisor’ by Acquisition International magazine, one of Finance Monthly’s ‘Top 100 International Advisors’ 2014 and voted one of their ‘Deal Makers of the Year’ in 2013 and 2015. CloudOrigin was voted ‘Cloud Computing Specialist of the Year 2015’ at the Finance Monthly Global Awards, ‘UK Enterprise Cloud Computing Specialist of 2014’ at the Business Excellence awards and named both ‘Best Systems IT DD Provider’ and ‘Best for Post Transaction Technology Services’ at the 2015 M&A Awards.
