Data Centre Leader, Africa
Stan leads Aurecon’s data centre portfolio for Africa, as well as being a professional mechanical engineer and associate.
He has vast experience in various mission critical sectors including the health and production industries and specifically the data centre industry. His involvement has ranged from providing feasibility reports and recommendations for clients for new facilities or refurbishments to being Lead Design Engineer on projects. He has been involved in facilities ranging from 30kW modular solutions to 50MW data centres. Some of his more challenging projects have included, the design of the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) facility where specific attention had to be given to RFI. While he is primarily a cooling and efficiency systems specialist, Stan has gained broad cross discipline knowledge giving him a more integrated approach toward data centre design. Within Aurecon, Stan is a review engineer for several of the company’s larger data centre projects in Africa, Australia and Asia.
He is an accredited Tier Designer with the Uptime Institute and is passionate about the industry. Stan especially enjoys new technology and sharing ideas to help take the industry forward.
