Angus Vickery is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Lead Architect for the Commonwealth Scientific Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) Information Management and Technology unit.

He has operated as the key strategy lead in a broad portfolio of CSIRO digital capability initiatives over the past decade and delivered Australia’s largest catalogue data and computational platforms and services. This has included delegation as the CSIRO advisory lead for the two major supercomputing facilities in Australia in the NCI (ANU) and Pawsey Centre (Perth).

He leads highly specialised teams in the fields of; cybersecurity, performance data and computing, application and workflow optimisation, data management and acceleration.

Angus is recognised within both government and industry as a thought leader in ICT strategy with specialist knowledge in novel architectures, cybersecurity and cloud computing, and has delivered award winning technology solutions for the CSIRO Data Management and Cloud platform innovations.

Angus has an academic background in English, Philosophy and Psychology combined with a technical background in Network Engineering, and senior management qualifications from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM).
