As Senior Vice President, Global Infrastructure & Workplace Technology, Brian leads the team responsible for end-to-end service engagement and fulfillment, service delivery, maintenance and operational support of the American Express technology infrastructure, as well as vendor and business management supporting our infrastructure and operations performance. He also provides joint oversight of the IT-related supplier management and sourcing functions within Global Supply Management.

Brian is a member of the AET Executive Team and American Express' Global Management Team.

Brian joined American Express from Goldman Sachs, where he most recently served as Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Technology Infrastructure. In that capacity, he led a global team of 2,500 and managed annual IT spend of more than $1 billion. Specifically, he led data strategies for the firm, including big data, data policies and storage tiering; infrastructure risk-management; cloud computing, both private and public; data center elasticity; application middleware; mobile/bring-your-own-device; workplace infrastructure design; and software-defined infrastructure.

Brian began his career at NCR Corporation (at the time, a division of AT&T). He holds dual degrees in computer science and mathematics from the State University of New York's College at Geneseo, where he remains active, serving on the board for the Geneseo Foundation. In addition, Brian is a board member of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC). He and his partner live in New Jersey with their daughters, Olivia and Avery.
