The Singapore Engineer
The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES) was established in 1966 and is the national association of all engineers in Singapore. It is often called upon by the Government to provide feedback on professional engineering matters.
IES collaborates closely with government agencies, industry players and schools to promote engineering to the young through various events like career talks, exhibitions, engineering competitions, etc.
IES organises courses, seminars, talks and workshops for engineers and members to advance the continuous development of engineers and uplift their competency and proficiency. It also holds a series of workshops and courses to broaden the career pathway for engineers.
IES offers Chartered Engineer status to qualified engineers. The Chartered Engineer Programme is currently available for engineers of the following disciplines: aerospace engineering, chemical & process engineering, environmental & water engineering, marine & offshore engineering, railway & transport engineering and systems engineering.
